Printable party packs are wonderfully budget friendly, and they don't take long to put together. They are great because you get a cohesive fully coordinated party for a really decent price. For our party we had about 20 people and it only cost around $15 to print! I started cutting things out and putting things together in the morning and I was done by around lunch.
A few other pictures from our get together:
The flag swag banner was something I really wanted incorporated into the party set. I have a very distinct memory of going to visit my Grandparents in their small Ohio town during the 4th of July. Main Street was lined with old Victorian looking homes and each one had swag banners drapping over their porch rails. It was so pretty. I love the look this party packs printable version gives to the table.
Tip for frosting cupcakes in a hurry, use store bought canned frosting, put it in a microwave safe bowl. Heat 10-15 seconds stir. Repeat until frosting is smooth and liquid. Dip the tops of the cupcakes in the frosting and set upright to cool. It cools glossy and smooth. Be sure to put the sprinkles on before the frosting gets cool.
I loved the idea of serving apple pie and ice cream at the party (what's more American than that?), but wanted people to be able to feel like they could still walk around and talk. I came across a fun recipe for Apple Pie Fries over at OhBiteIt.com. Everyone really enjoyed them.
