It's so easy to take an element from a digital kit and use it in your paper scrapbooking or card making. I loved the bird and butterfly elements in the February digi collab and I decided to use the bird from the Ruby Dragon's portion of the kit to make a birthday card.
First I printed off 2 copies of the bird and cut them both out.
Next I cut the wing off of one of the images and mounted it onto cardstock to make it stiffer. I also found a button in my stash that matched the one Ruby used for the eye of the bird.
Finally I put my card together. I attached the whole bird first and then used pop dots to attach the wing to give the bird some added dimension. I also used Stickles to embellish the flowers and the wings. Finally I added my Happy Birthday stamp and embellished it with stickles too.
It really is easy to take an element from a digital kit and incorporate it into your paper crafts!
